SDG 7 is dedicated to ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. It emphasizes the transition to clean and renewable energy sources to mitigate environmental impact and promote energy efficiency. The goal recognizes the role of energy in driving economic growth, improving living standards, and addressing climate change.

• Ensure universal access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy services by 2030.
• Substantially increase the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix by 2030.
• Double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency by 2030.
• Enhance international cooperation for access to clean energy research and technology, promoting investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology by 2030.
• Expand and upgrade infrastructure and technology to provide modern and sustainable energy services for all in developing countries, especially least developed countries, small island developing States, and landlocked developing countries, aligning with their support programmes.
