Reduce inequality within and among countries

SDG 10 focuses on reducing inequality within and among countries. It emphasizes fostering inclusivity and addressing disparities in income, wealth, and opportunities. The goal aims to empower and promote the social, economic, and political inclusion of all individuals, irrespective of their background or circumstances.

Reduced Inequality
  • By 2030, achieve and sustain income growth for the bottom 40% of the population at a rate higher than the national average.
  • Empower and promote the inclusion of all in social, economic, and political aspects, regardless of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic status.
  • Ensure equal opportunities and reduce outcome inequalities by eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices, and promoting appropriate legislation.
  • Adopt policies, especially fiscal, wage, and social protection policies, to progressively achieve greater equality.
  • Improve regulation and monitoring of global financial markets and institutions.
  • Strengthen representation and voice for developing countries in decision-making in global economic and financial institutions.
  • Facilitate orderly, safe, and responsible migration through planned and well-managed policies.
  • Implement special and differential treatment for developing countries, particularly least developed countries, as per World Trade Organization agreements.
  • Encourage official development assistance and financial flows, including foreign direct investment, to states with the greatest need, aligning with national plans.
  • By 2030, reduce migrant remittance transaction costs to less than 3%, eliminating corridors with costs higher than 5%.
